Child, Youth and Family Drop-in Programs

No registration needed, but program capacity limits may apply to drop-in programs. Looking for something active for your child or the whole family? Our drop-in programs are a great way to move, play, and connect. Show up and have fun!

Advanced registration recommended for Wednesday evening volleyball and weekday pickleball with your ActiveNet Account.


Important info

  • Supervision: Kids 12 and under must come with a caregiver who is 16 or older
  • Equipment: Borrow equipment on a first-come, first-served basis. Just bring your ID to swap!
  • Court time: Racquetball and squash courts are limited to 1 hour if others are waiting
  • Support persons: Free entry for caregivers who are helping a paying participant
  • 60+ members: Check the Older Adults Drop-In Program for offerings
  • Adults: Check the Adults Drop-In Program for offerings
  • Municipal fee assistance: Helps everyone in Niagara Falls participate. If money’s tight, apply today so you and your family can enjoy programs like swimming, skating, and more.

  • Day passes are also available and include access to drop-in programs and the pool, but they do not include the indoor play structure

Badminton (all ages)

Drop in, rotate into games, and enjoy a fun, casual atmosphere. All skill levels welcome — great for exercise, improving your game, and meeting new players!

  • Monday:  6:15 pm to 8:45 pm (all ages)
  • Saturday: 7:00 am to 10:30 am (all ages)
  • Sunday: 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm or 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm (all ages)

Changes to badminton starting March 22, 2026:

Registration is required for all badminton programs – in advance or upon arrival. Walk-ins will only be accepted if spaces are available.

  • Individuals may register for one time slot per day
  • Advance registration will open one week in advance
  • When three nets are available, the maximum capacity is 24 players. When five nets are available, the maximum capacity is 40.
  • Participants must rotate and share the space to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to play
  • Cancellations: No refunds or rescheduling are permitted within 24 hours. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled or credited to your account.

Basketball (all ages)

Show up, join a game, and play in a fun, casual pickup-style environment. All skill levels welcome — perfect for a great workout and friendly competition!

  • Basketballs are available for use, or bring your own
  • Capacity limits may be enforced for safety
  • Participants must share the space to ensure everyone has an opportunity to play

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 3:30 pm to 5:45 pm (all ages)
  • Friday: 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm (youth under 16)
  • Friday: 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm (ages 16+)
  • Saturday: 1:45 pm to 4:45 pm (all ages)

Indoor play structure (age 4 to 12)

Admission rules:

  • Caregiver supervision is required at all times
  • For use by children 4 to 12 years of age only
  • Socks must be worn - no shoes or bare feet

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
  • Friday 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, and 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 am to 10:30 am, and 3:15 pm to 4:45 pm

Preschool drop-in play space (ages 2 to 6)

A relaxed, drop-in preschool program designed for little ones to move, explore, and have fun in a safe gym space. Geared for children ages 2-6, this unstructured playtime helps develop coordination, confidence, and social skills. No registration is required. Just drop in and let the fun begin!

Ages: 2 years to 6 years
Cost: $2.50 per child
Schedule: Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

Children must be accompanied by a caregiver who is at least 16 years of age.

Drop in, rotate into matches, and enjoy fast-paced fun in a casual, welcoming environment. All skill levels welcome — perfect for sharpening your skills and getting a great workout!

Drop in, join a side, and enjoy high-energy games in a fun, social atmosphere. All skill levels welcome — perfect for staying active and enjoying friendly competition!

Schedule:

  • Wednesdays: 3:30 pm to 5:15 pm (youth under 16)
  • Wednesdays: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm (ages 16+)
