MacBain Community Centre

Welcome to the City of Niagara Falls’ multi-use, 100,000-square-foot community centre, located at 7150 Montrose Road. We are open to the entire community. No membership is needed except for some older adult programs.

Bus stop relocation

The MacBain Community Centre bus stop #6817 was temporarily closed while the parking lot was repaved.

Niagara Transit plans to reopen the bus stop in October during the week of Thanksgiving.

Please use stops set up on Montrose Road and McLeod Road. Use stop on Montrose Road at MacBain north parking lot for routes 113/213. Use either Montrose Stop 6781, route 113, or stop 6726 on Montrose just south of McLeod to get to Canadian Drive. For route 101 heading to Main Street, please use the temporary stop on McLeod Road 75m west of Montrose Road.

Hours of operation

The MacBain Community Centre and the At Your Service customer service centre within the facility are open during the following times:

Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 9:00 pm

Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Recreation Staff will be on-site to help you with any event and programming needs
The At Your Service counter will accept payments, including tax and water bills, parking tickets, parking permits , bus passes, and dog licences
You can also set up pre-authorized payments for your water bills and property taxes
There is also a drop-off box outside near the main front doors for cheque payments (do not put cash inside)

The MacBain Community Centre Park is among the most popular in Niagara Falls! The park and other outdoor amenities include:

Playground with an accessible swing
Pavilion with tables and seating
Splash pad opens seasonally from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm
Accessible outdoor washrooms are open seasonally
Fitness area equipped with fitness stations
Skateboard park that has been designed for all ages and abilities
Piano
A walking path around the facility, community garden, and pond area
Free parking

The change rooms and showers are for those using paid programs. Lockers are available - please bring your own lock.

Change room options

The MacBain Community Centre has three change rooms - male, female and a universal change room.

Male and Female change rooms have open spaces
- Children 6 and under may use either, based on their caregiver’s gender
- Children 7 and older must use the gender-appropriate change room or use the universal change room
The universal change room is for everyone and is fully accessible
No nudity in open areas
Swimwear is required in the universal shower and shared spaces

Parking and transportation at MacBain

Parking is free at the MacBain Community Centre.

The parking lot has:

Accessible parking spaces
Specialty spaces reserved for expectant mothers, parents with young children, and older adults
