Spring Community Clean Sweep Day – Saturday, May 6, 2017

Niagara Falls, ON, April 26, 2017 - The Park in the City Committee encourages local residents, businesses and schools to participate in the upcoming Spring Community Clean Sweep Day on Saturday, May 6th, 2017.

Each year, the Park in the City Committee organizes two Community Clean Sweep events (one in May and one in October).  Both Clean Sweep events organize volunteers to help pick-up litter from local parks, trails and boulevards throughout the City. This is a great opportunity for students to acquire their community service hours or for residents to show their civic pride.

For this year’s Spring Community Clean Sweep Day, volunteers are to pre-register online at www.niagarafalls.ca/cleansweep.  All registered volunteers are to meet at Mick & Angelo’s Eatery and Bar by 9:00am to acquire cleaning supplies.  Volunteers are able pick a public area they feel needs to be cleaned.

In recognition of the volunteer’s efforts, a complimentary lunch will be served back at Mick & Angelo’s and volunteers will also be given a Canada 150 Lily in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday.

For compete details, visit the City’s website at www.niagarafalls.ca/pitc.
