NIAGARA FALLS, ON - Do you know a dedicated community volunteer? Nominate them for a Niagara Falls Volunteer Recognition Award. Winners will be invited to receive their award at a special ceremony in November. Nominations are open until Friday, October 8, 2021.
The awards are an excellent opportunity to honour and recognize those who have made significant contributions to the lives and wellbeing of others in our community by giving their time and lending their talents and labour. More than 40 individuals and corporate sponsors received an award as part of this recognition program last year. Recipients and past winners are posted on the City's website at niagarafalls.ca/volunteerawards.
There are two categories: Individual/Corporate Sponsor Awards and Special Awards.
Individual and Corporate Sponsor Awards
These awards are designed for local organizations to nominate one individual and one corporate sponsor each year. Recognition will be awarded as long as the nominee has not received the award from same nominating organization within the previous 3 years (since 2018).
These are once-in-a-lifetime recognition awards. Nominations for these awards may be made by anyone, including organizations and the general public. Nominations will be reviewed by the Volunteer Recognition Awards subcommittee and one winner will be selected from each subcategory.
