NIAGARA FALLS, ON - Niagara Falls Farmers’ Market season begins Saturday, May 15, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the MacBain Community Centre, rain or shine! Running every Saturday, come enjoy all the best of local farmers, growers, bakers, and makers.
If you’re a fan of asparagus, you’re in luck, it’s fresh and in season! We will have a great selection of crispy apples, rhubarb, leaf lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers and more! As other crops arrive, more of your favourite farmers will return with their amazing farm assortments.
If you’ve a hankering for anything sweet like rum cakes, honey, maple syrup or butter tarts to savoury treats of samosas, tamales, empanadas or popcorn we’re the destination for you. There are 30 unique vendors to provide all the best Niagara has to offer. A full vendor list can be found at niagarafalls.ca/market.
There will be select Market dates where the Niagara Region Public Health vaccination site will be open. In those instances, the Market will scale down slightly to facilitate the needs of the clinic. The next scheduled vaccination day at MacBain Community Centre is Saturday, May 29.
We work with Niagara Region Public Health to ensure that the market is a safe place for you to pick up essential products and ensure that market ready products are available for the residents of Niagara Falls.
Patrons will be:
- expected to wear face masks or coverings (as per Regional By-law 2020-46) where physical distance (6 feet or 2 meters) cannot be maintained
- provided with hand sanitizer
- permitted controlled access to Market site
- allowed to use reusable shopping bags for their purchases, as long as they are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner and are handled by the customer only.
So grab your mask and we’ll see you Saturday!
