Charitable initiative celebrates 20th anniversary in 2023, raising over $2.4 million for 100 local charities since 2004

NIAGARA FALLS, ON -  Sleep Cheap Charities Reap, a long-standing community tradition, returns for its 20th year this November, having raised $2.4 million for nearly 100 different local charities since its inception in 2004.

Room Reservations
Sleep Cheap 2023 runs for five nights, from Sunday, November 19, through Thursday, November 23. Reservations for the event can be made starting Wednesday, October 18 at 9 a.m. Participating hotels and booking information can be found online at sleepcheapcharitiesreap.com.

Available exclusively to Niagara Region residents, Sleep Cheap offers discounted rates at many participating Niagara Falls hotels. Donations for rooms are $65 per night for a standard room, $75 for a Falls view or whirlpool room, and $125 for a waterpark room. Participants can book up to two-night stays.

The Charitable Donation Application Process is Now Open!
The Sleep Cheap Charities Reap Committee is currently seeking applications from local charities and registered not-for-profits interested in receiving a charitable donation from the program. Application forms are available at sleepcheapcharitiesreap.com, with an application deadline of Friday, November 24, 2023.

Charities should be aware that the Committee receives far more requests than the program can support, and that unsuccessful applications do not reflect a charity or not-for-profit's merit.

The 2023 recipients of the charitable donations, as selected by the Sleep Cheap Charities Reap Committee, will be announced in December. As always, 100% of the funds raised through Sleep Cheap benefit local charities.

About Sleep Cheap Charities Reap
In 2004, then Councillor Jim Diodati initiated an event to celebrate the City’s 100th Anniversary and promote goodwill between the tourist industry and the City of Niagara Falls residents. Sleep Cheap Charities Reap took the concept a step further in 2005, supporting some of Niagara’s most deserving charities. The event allows Niagara Falls residents to experience some of the City’s most prestigious hotel properties and attractions for a fraction of the cost, and the proceeds are donated to local charities.
