Winter 2023 Child & Youth Programs at the MacBain Community Centre

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - Join us at the MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road) for fun family activities between January 9 and March 11, 2023. 

Our registered programs and courses include the following:

Babysitting Course

The Canada Safety Council Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Aspiring babysitters also learn basic first-aid skills.


Home Alone Course

The Home Alone Program is designed to provide children ten years of age (or turning ten this year) and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied.


Carousel Players After School Drama Program

Professional educators will guide participants through games, activities, and experiences that teach them individual skills and allow them to make new friends.

  • Wednesdays beginning January 18 to March 8 (eight sessions)
  • 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Ages 6 - 8Register on ActiveNet here.
  • 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm: Ages 9 - 11Register on ActiveNet here. 
  • Registration: $100*


Racquetball Lessons

Discover the basics of racquetball learning skills, drills, and games from Racquetball Ontario Coach Todd Bright. The small group settings will ensure everyone gets plenty of play time and coaching!

*All course materials and equipment required are included with registration.

The MacBain Community Centre is also offering a variety of drop-in activities, including:
 


Basketball

  • Monday to Friday
  • 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
  • $5 per person/$10 per family

Badminton

  • Wednesday
  • 7:45 pm - 9:00 pm
  • $5 per person/$10 per family


Table Tennis

  • Thursday and Friday
  • 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • $5 per person/$10 per family


Indoor Playground

  • Monday to Friday
  • 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm
  • Ages 4 - 12
  • $7 per person/$15 per family


Day Pass

The Day Pass includes swimming and unlimited drop-in recreation programs (indoor playground excluded.)

  • Child/Youth $10
  • Adult $15
  • Family $25

Registration for drop-in activities is not required.
