NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls is pleased to announce Nidhi Punyarthi as our new City Solicitor and Director of Legal Services. Ms. Punyarthi joins the City after working as Legal Counsel for the City of Brampton where she was responsible for the Corporation’s litigation and administrative law. During her time at Brampton, Ms Punyarthi helped the municipality achieve significant financial benefits by directing litigation and negotiation strategy in complex commercial transactions, advising on procurement, construction and fostering key stakeholder relationships.
As a graduate of the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Ms. Punyarthi began her career in the private sector working in commercial and construction litigation. Having a track record of experience in advocacy and dispute resolution, she has served as an adjudicator with the License Appeal Tribunal and the Ontario Parole Board.
Ms. Punyarthi is a member of the Municipal Law Executive section of the Ontario Bar Association, as well as a board member and the Diversity and Inclusion Chair at the Association of French-speaking Lawyers and Judges.

Ms. Punyarthi added she is “very excited to be joining the City of Niagara Falls team.
