NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The MacBain Community Centre indoor walking track, located at 7150 Montrose Road, will re-open on Monday, December 6, 2021. Reservations are required. Sessions will be available each hour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays and the week of December 27. A 20-person capacity limit will be in effect and masks are required.
All visitors to the MacBain Community Centre must provide proof that they have received their second vaccination at least 14 days prior to their visit, along with government issued photo ID. Visitors must also complete COVID-19 screening upon arrival. The track is available to those 16 years of age or older. Running and jogging are not permitted. More information about the track rules are posted on the City's website niagarafalls.ca/macbain.
Reservations can be made starting Monday, November 29, only on the City's new, online booking site, ACTIVE Net. Sessions are offered each hour and may be booked up to one week in advance.
The track and washrooms will be cleaned daily by staff. A water fountain for refilling bottles only will be available. No other food or beverages are permitted in the track area. Visitors are asked to bring clean, indoor walking shoes and leave valuables at home. Coat racks will be available, but lockers and change rooms will not.
The Gale Centre indoor walking track is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., except Thursdays and Fridays when it closes at 6 p.m. Visitors are required to check-in upon arrival, but reservations are not required at the Gale Centre. COVID-19 screening protocols and track rules are the same as for the MacBain Community Centre.
