Niagara Falls Canada Day Drive-Thru Parade: New Pre-Registration for Time Slots!

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - It’s time for the City of Niagara Falls Canada Day celebration! This year’s drive-thru parade will take place rain or shine on Canada Day, Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Queen Street in the Authentic Downtown Niagara Falls!
Similar to a “reverse parade”, performers will be set up in various locations along Queen Street and will feature dancers, jugglers, stilt walkers, inflatables, superheroes, music, and more! Spectators will be able to enjoy the entertainment as they drive along in their vehicles.
NEW this year—spectators must pre-register for the Parade. Starting Thursday, June 17, you can request your drive-thru parade spot by visiting Please note, there is limited availability, due to street capacity and time restriction. Open to Niagara Falls residents. To register you will need to:

  • Provide your name and email address on Eventbrite.
  • Select one of the 30-minute time slots
  • All requests are subject to verification. Additional information may be requested by the City for your parade pass (i.e. licence plate number)
  • The City will issue you a parade pass once your request is confirmed.
  • On July 1, place your ticket on your vehicle dash, or have your phone handy with the confirmation to show to police or other parade security.
  • Arrive no more than five minutes ahead of time. Queue up for the parade and while you are waiting, remain at least two metres or six feet away from other vehicles. Spectators must remain in their vehicles.
  • Tune in to 105.1 The River for great music and parade updates throughout the event.

Project SHARE will collect cash donations and non-perishable food items along the route.
Niagara Transit Free Bus Shuttle from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Don’t have a vehicle? No Problem! We are offering a Free Parade Shuttle!
Skip the reservation process and board the free Canada Day Parade Shuttle courtesy of Niagara Falls Transit. The shuttle pick up location is on Buckley Avenue, south of Queen Street, beside TAPS. The shuttle will run every 15 minutes between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Remember to wear a mask on the bus!

Canada Day Virtual Drumming—New! 
The City of Niagara Falls is pleased to take part in the national Canada Day Virtual Drumming Celebration 2021. “An All Canadian World Record Drumming Celebration”, organized by Legacy 150 Celebrations Society, a Vancouver-based non-profit organization. The annual Canada Day Drumming Celebration strives to deepen intercultural understanding, promote patriotism, and enhance civic engagement through one of the world’s most ancient and widely-adopted art forms—percussive arts.

Canada Day Virtual Drumming—Guinness World Record Attempt Help to set a new world record! Preregister online by June 23, 2021. A private Zoom link will be sent to qualified participants. The event takes place on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Nationwide Simultaneous Drumming for 6 minutes Join in the nationwide simultaneous drumming for six minutes on July 1 at 3 p.m.. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary! Any type of drums may be used. Participants will join on Facebook Live and YouTube Live. Results will be announced at 3:10 p.m. Visit #canadadaydrumming
Decorate Your Ride—Canada Day Contest!
Show us your Canadian pride and decorate your ride! Decorate your vehicle, bicycle, scooter, wheelchair, motorcycle, tricycle—any type of wheels and send your photo in! There are three categories: vehicles, bicycles, and other. We have great prizes donated from Heart Niagara, St. John Ambulance and the City of Niagara Falls! This contest is open to Niagara Falls residents. One entry per household. Visit for details

Tune into 105.1 The River for parade updates and watch it on YourTV. The Niagara Falls Canada Day Drive-Thru Parade will be covered by YourTV and aired at a later date on Channel 700. The parade will be available for viewing on their Video On Demand Channel 602.
