Level of Service Locator

The Level of Service Locator will allow you to enter a valid Municipal address and it will return a map with which Class that address is in.


Road Classification & Level of Service

Class 2

Class description: A major arterial or collector road with an average annual daily traffic total of greater than 15,000 vehicles per year.

Snow: Reach bare pavement as soon as possible after a storm has ended. Normally within six (6) hours.

Ice: Treat the icy roadway as soon as possible after becoming aware that the road is icy. Normally within four (4) hours.

Class 3

Class description: A collector road or bus route with an average annual daily traffic total between 4,000 and 15,000 vehicles per year.

Snow: Reach bare pavement as soon as possible after a storm has ended. Normally within 12 hours.

Ice: Treat the icy roadway as soon as possible after becoming aware that the road is icy. Normally within eight (8) hours.

Class 4

Class description: A residential or commercial road with an average annual daily traffic total between 500 and 4,000 vehicles per year.

Snow: Reach bare pavement as soon as possible after a storm has ended. Normally within 16 hours.

Ice: Treat the icy roadway as soon as possible after becoming aware that the road is icy. Normally within 12 hours.

Class 5

Class description: A residential road with an average annual daily traffic total between 50 and 500 vehicles per year.

Snow: Reach bare pavement as soon as possible after a storm has ended. Normally within 24 hours.

Ice: Treat the icy roadway as soon as possible after becoming aware that the road is icy. Normally within 16 hours.
