Skating fees
Please pay at the customer service desk before you skate. You must bring your own skates because we do not rent them.
We accept cash, credit cards and debit payments. HST is included in the pricing.
Public skating admission fees
- Children and students (15 years and under): $3
- Adults (16 years and over): $4
- Seniors (60 years and over): $3
- Family pass (2 adults, 3 children): $10
Skating and hockey programs at the Gale Centre:
- Tiny tots skating: $3
- Pay as you play 18+: $5
- Pay as you play (all senior programs): $3
- Youth stick and puck: $5 for parent and child, $2 per extra child
- Adult stick and puck: $5

- Sundays: 2 pm to 4 pm
- Not available on: August 24 and August 31
Tiny tots skating schedule
- Wednesdays: 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Fridays: 10 am to 11:30 am
- Note: Skating aids are allowed. Do not carry children while skating
Adult and senior skating schedule
- Mondays: 9 am to 10:30 am
- Wednesdays: 1:45 pm to 3:15 pm
- Fridays: 11:30 am to 1 pm
- Not available on: July 30, August 4
Skating rules
Skate at your own risk! The facility is not responsible for accidents, lost, or stolen items.
- The City of Niagara Falls recommends everyone wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet
- No swearing or inappropriate behaviour. Visit the RZone page to report an incident or view the policy
- Report any accidents or injuries to Skate Patrol or arena staff immediately
- All participants must wear skates on the ice
- Smoking, alcohol, illegal substances, or anyone under the influence is not allowed
- No personal instruction during public skates
- Skating aids are allowed, but chairs, sleds, pylons, hockey sticks, pucks, and other obstructions are not allowed
- No horseplay, tag, racing, backward skating, figure skating maneuvers, or erratic skating
Drop-in: Stick and puck schedule
Youth Stick and Puck (ages 15 & under)
- Maximum 30 participants
- Mondays and Wednesdays: 4 pm to 5 pm
Adult Stick and Puck (ages 15+)
- Maximum 30 participants.
- Mondays: 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
- Fridays: July 18 and 25 from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm, August 29 from 12 pm to 1 pm
- Saturdays: July 19 and 26 from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm, August 30 from 12 pm to 1 pm
- Sundays: July 20 and 27 from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm, August 31 from 12 pm to 1 pm
- Not available on: August 4
Senior Stick and Puck (ages 70+)
- Tuesdays: 1:30 pm to 3 pm
Stick and Puck rules
- Helmets are mandatory
- A parent (18+) must be on the ice with their child and supervise them
- No slap shots
- Be mindful of others when shooting the puck
- Beginner skaters at one end of the rink; advanced skaters at the other
- No organized games or practices
- No scrimmaging

- Fridays: 1 pm to 2:30 pm
- Not available on: July 18, August 15
Pay as you play (ages 65+)
- Organized and monitored scrimmage hockey. Groups based on skill level
- Mondays: 11 am to 12:30 pm
- Thursdays: 11 am to 12:15 pm
- Not available on: August 4
Pay as you play (ages 75+)
- Organized and monitored scrimmage hockey
- Thursdays: 12:30 pm to 2 pm
Pay as you play rules
- Full equipment is required, including helmets and a light and dark jersey
- No checking or fighting
- Goalies skate for free
