We offer professional-quality ice surfaces. Our two arenas in Niagara Falls have five ice surfaces in total. Book an entire rink for games, practices, hockey school, skating instruction, tournaments, school skating, or special events. We also have several rooms available for rent in the arenas.
Rental rate details
Ice rental pricing varies depending on prime hours and non-prime hours.
Prime hours: Monday to Friday from 5 pm until 11 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 7 am until close
Non-prime hours: Monday to Friday from 8 am until 5 pm, and 11 pm to 12 am
- Spring/summer ice rental rates are from May 1 to August 31
- Fall/winter ice rental rates are from September 1 to April 30
- Insurance: Each organization renting ice must provide a certificate of insurance on the standard liability form. Review the Ice Allocation Policy for details
- Cancellation fee: There is an administration fee on refunds for cancellations received at least 14 days before the event. 50% refund if cancelled 4 to 13 days before the event. 0% refund if cancelled within 72 hours of the event
- Discounted rates: Occasionally, discounted ice time may also be available. Call us for details
How to book arena facilities
- Complete the form to book the ice and/or rooms at one of the arenas
- Arena staff will confirm availability, prepare the contract, and review the insurance requirements with you
- Pay by cash, Visa, Mastercard, or cheque at the Gale Centre front office

About the rooms
- Rental times: Rooms can be rented by the hour or for a day (8 hours)
- Payment: Payment is due at the time of booking. HST applies to all room rentals
- Insurance: Insurance is required and can be purchased during booking. For room only: $2.16/hour
- Food and beverage:
- Gale Centre: Order food exclusively through Breakaway Concessions
- Chippawa Willoughby: You can bring your own food and beverages
- Food and drinks are not permitted on the ice surface
- Organizations serving alcoholic beverages must comply with the Municipal Alcohol Risk Management Policy
Room descriptions
- Gale Centre Memorial Community Room: This room can accommodate a maximum of 200 people and includes tables and chairs set up, Wi-Fi, and a projection screen
- Gale Centre Boardroom: This room can accommodate a maximum of 14 people and includes Wi-Fi and one TV screen
- Gale Centre Sam Long Room: This room can accommodate a maximum of 20 people and includes Wi-Fi
- Chippawa-Willoughby Arena Community Room: This room is available throughout the fall and winter only. It can accommodate a maximum of 50 people and includes tables and chairs set up and Wi-Fi
