Overnight parking permits

Overnight parking permits help homeowners who can’t park all their vehicles off the street at night.

Apply for a one-year overnight parking permit on our Parking Permits page.

Special overnight parking requests

You can request overnight street parking for certain circumstances. While parking on city streets is not allowed year-round from 2:00 am to 6:00 am, residents may request up to seven days of street parking per calendar year, per license plate. This is not the same as an overnight parking permit.

You can use the privilege for:

  • Guests staying overnight
  • Driveway or sidewalk repairs
  • Roof repairs
  • Special functions
  • Moving

How to request overnight parking

  • Fill out the online overnight parking privilege form. You must provide at least 12 hours advance notice.
  • There is no fee for making the request
  • Each request covers parking from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am the next day
  • Consideration will not be granted for commercial vehicles, derelict vehicles, unlicensed vehicles, or immobile trailers
  • You can’t use the overnight parking privilege during snow-clearing operations
