Open Data

Get the Data

Visit the City of Niagara Falls Open Data Hub to find items like spatial data that you can use to make maps, Applications (Apps) to help you visualize the information, tabular data and reports, and data feeds. For application developers, the Application Programming Interface (API) is also available.

Open Government is the concept and practice of promoting government transparency and accountability through public access to government records and information. Open Data is electronic information in a computer-readable format, provided publicly for free, and with no restrictions on use. The City of Niagara Falls supports the open government philosophy as a means to continuously improve citizen access and services.

So what does that mean for you? In short, the City of Niagara Falls provides open data in formats that your computer or device can use, understand, and manipulate. You can use the information for any lawful purpose, like making informed decisions, exchanging ideas, or creating your own thing. There are only a few things you need to agree with before you download and use the information - these can be found in the Open Data License here.

The City of Niagara Falls Open Data Hub replaces the solution previously found on the Open Datasets web page. Sad to see the old page go? We'd like to hear your feedback.
