NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls is hosting a variety of activities for this year’s Family Day weekend. Gather those nearest and dearest to you for some long weekend fun at the MacBain Community Centre, Gale Centre Arena and the Niagara Falls History Museum. 

Our registered programs and drop-in activities on the February 17 PD Day include the following:

Dinosaur Detectives at the Museum


Join Club Rex to unpack all the latest news from the field and explore the newest dinosaurs and discoveries from the last few years. Learn how to identify dinosaur fossils with a fantastic collection of skulls, teeth, claws and more! 

  • Where: The Niagara Falls History Museum (5810 Ferry Street)
  • When: 11:00 am and 1:00 pm
  • Who: All ages
  • Price: Members: Free / Non-members: $5 per person
    • Registration is required

Drop-In Activities at MacBain


Pop by for family-focused drop-in activities at the MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road):

Drop-In Racquetball Lessons


Racquetball Ontario Representative Todd Bright will coach drop-in lessons. Stay tuned for registered classes coming up in our Spring programs.

  • Price: $5 per person / $10 per family
  • All equipment provided

Drop-In Badminton

  • When: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  • Price: $5 per person / $10 per family

Drop-In Basketball

  • When: 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Price: $5 per person / $10 per family

Drop-In Table Tennis

  • When: 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Price: $5 per person / $10 per family

Indoor Playground

  • When: 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Who: Ages 4 - 12
  • Price: $7 per person / $15 per family

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver who is a minimum of 16 years of age. Day passes are available for drop-in programs & the pool.

Spend Family Day exploring biodiversity and habitat conservation at the Museum!

This unique and up-close encounter with their animal ambassadors will leave you educated and inspired to help protect animals in the wild.
