About Coronation 50 Plus Recreation Centre
If you are 50 or older, enjoy interacting with others, or want to meet new friends, why not join the Coronation 50 Plus Recreation Centre? The Coronation 50 Plus Recreation Centre enhances the quality of life and well-being of those 50 and over in the City of Niagara Falls. The Centre strives to contribute to the social, educational and recreational needs by offering programs and services in a safe and comfortable environment.
Memberships have been placed on hold for the duration of Niagara Falls' current declared state of emergency. Upon re-opening, expiry dates will be extended to reflect inactive weeks.
The Coronation Centre operates on a membership basis. Anyone who is 50 years of age and older is eligible to become a member. The facilities at the Centre provide an opportunity for a variety of recreation, arts and cultural activities. Membership entitles one to participate in the programs and special events offered by paying a nominal drop-in fee or purchasing tickets. Our facility can improve your life in many ways and you will soon see the benefits of membership such as making new friends, participation in a regular exercise routine, involvement in volunteer opportunities or enjoying a hot meal from our Café to name a few.

Volunteer Advisory Committee
The Centre works with a twelve member volunteer Advisory Committee who represent and are voted in by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. Their goal is to provide suggestions and recommendations on the provision of programs, services and special events. A major factor in the successful operation of the Centre is the dedication and commitment of our volunteers. The Centre has many exciting volunteer opportunities available and we are confident that you will find a volunteer position that is a rewarding experience. Some of the volunteer opportunities include: Greeters, Special Events, Volunteer Instructors, Committees, Assistants for our gently used clothing store and help in our lunchroom Craft House Café .
Satellite Site: MacBain Community Centre
The MacBain Community Centre is a multifaceted 100,000 square foot facility located at Montrose and McLeod Road. This community focal point offers a wide range of recreational, health, educational and family services for all ages. This innovative, sharing model of community service includes six partners who service more than 20,000 people annually. The Coronation 50 Plus Satellite Site offers additional programming to the current programs offered at our home base site on Summer Street. We offer a variety of innovative fitness programs from a beginner level to advance, so come out and be active.
