Have the honour of performing the national anthem at an upcoming City Council meeting!
Calling all youth singers and musicians! Niagara Falls City Council is seeking up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent by performing ‘O Canada’ before each Council meeting in 2024.
Complete an online application, including a video or audio recording of you performing the anthem below for the opportunity to be selected.

National anthem performer search details:
- Must be a resident of Niagara Falls
- Searching for school-aged children and teenage performers, but open to all ages
- There are approximately 16 City Council meetings per year, each one being an opportunity to showcase your talent
- Anthem can be performed in person in Council Chambers, or pre-recorded and played virtually before the meeting
- Performers will appear as part of the Council meeting stream on the City of Niagara Falls YouTube channel, as well as the YourTV Community channel (also available on channels 100 and 700 on Epico)
- Soloists, groups and choirs are all welcome
- Instruments are permitted
- No financial compensation or honourarium will be provided
- The following are not eligible to participate: Political parties or organizations, commercial entities, a group/individual that espouses hatred, violence or racism or any individual whose intent is contrary to City policies or by-laws
