Leafs Legend Johnny Bower to join Mayor to Kick Off Canada 150 Celebrations in Niagara Falls

What: The City of Niagara Falls and the Canada 150 Committee will join together to officially launch celebrations in honour of Canada 150th celebrations.

An official flag raising will take place with Johnny Bower and Mayor Jim Diodati as part of the launch, as well as the announcement of the first of 150 events taking place in the City, and the launch of a stand alone website. Following announcements, Anthony Annunziata, Organizer of the Niagara Ice Wine Festival will join Mayor Diodati in a Cheers to kick off the first of 150 events taking place in Niagara Falls in 2017 in honour of Canada 150.

About the Canada 150 Celebrations:

This year will be a milestone for Canada and Niagara Falls as we mark 150 years since confederation. The official countdown to Niagara Falls year-long sesquicentennial celebration has begun. Niagara Falls residents, along with all Canadians will have an opportunity to mark the 150th anniversary of our Country through a variety of events and celebrations planned throughout the year.
