NIAGARA FALLS, ON - After months of collaboration between City staff, Council members, and a dedicated creative agency, the City of Niagara Falls is proud to introduce its revitalized brand identity - a fresh, contemporary look designed to reflect the city’s dynamic spirit and iconic natural beauty.
At the heart of the rebrand is a modernized logo, shaped by community engagement, including one-on-one interviews, a digital survey, and a public open house. The design features the initials “NF,” rendered in clean, fluid lines that echo the graceful movement of cascading water. A vibrant colour palette, from bright blue tones symbolizing energy and momentum to deeper aqua hues evoking creativity and depth, reinforces the City’s connection to the Falls. A subtle maple leaf is thoughtfully integrated into the design, grounding the identity in its proud Canadian heritage.
“This fresh, modern identity reflects the vibrancy, warmth, and forward-thinking energy that define today’s Niagara Falls,” said Mayor Jim Diodati. “We’ve evolved as a community, and it was time for our brand to evolve with us. This new look honours our legacy while confidently embracing the future.”
The new brand is mirrored in the At Your Service Niagara Falls logo and branding introduced last week with the opening of two new customer service centres. A redesigned and rebranded City of Niagara Falls website will be launched early in the new year.
Beyond the visual elements, the rebrand encompasses a comprehensive brand framework, including a brand story, positioning statement, manifesto, and updated mission, vision, and values. Each component is inspired by the enduring power of the Falls and celebrates the City's unique blend of natural wonder, cultural vibrancy, and progressive ambition.
The City of Niagara Falls' new brand manifesto states, “In Niagara Falls, we don’t just live by the water - we’re shaped by its power, flow, and refreshing energy. This is a city where the thundering cascade of the falls is more than a spectacle; it’s a reminder of our strength, pride, and the spirit that defines us. Every day here is a celebration of nature’s wonder, and every resident, visitor, and business is part of that unstoppable force. Here, community members forge unbreakable bonds through shared values of inclusivity, connection, and history - values that spur us forward as we embrace the exciting growth ahead.”
“This isn’t just a logo, it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re headed,” said Chief Administrative Officer Jason Burgess. “Our new brand positions Niagara Falls as a city of innovation, community, and opportunity. It will guide how we communicate, how we serve our residents, and how we invite the world to experience everything Niagara Falls has to offer.”
With this refreshed identity, Niagara Falls is setting the stage for its next chapter - one that continues to captivate, connect, and inspire.
