THE EXCHANGE GRAND OPENING DELAYED – SEPTEMBER 21st NIGHT OF ART EVENT RELOCATES TO NIAGARA FALLS HISTORY MUSEUM

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls regrets to announce that the highly anticipated Grand Opening of The Exchange, the City’s new arts and culture hub, has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances with the construction process.

“The decision to delay the venue’s Grand Opening was not made lightly,” said Kathy Moldenhauer, General Manager of Recreation, Culture, & Facilities. “The decision reflects the City’s dedication and commitment to providing a fantastic experience to our residents and stakeholders when we open the doors to a brand-new facility. The project requires additional time to address infrastructure enhancements and final touches in the venue’s interior. We appreciate the community’s enthusiasm for The Exchange and, in the meantime, look forward to hosting the Night of Art at the Niagara Falls History Museum on September 21st .”

Originally slated to take place at The Exchange, the 12th annual Niagara Falls Night of Art event will continue as planned on Thursday, September 21, from 6-10 p.m. at the History Museum (5810 Ferry St.). The free admission event will feature art installations, performances, live music, food & drink, and more. Visit nfexchange.ca for more details.

About The Exchange
After years of planning, Niagara Falls City Council approved the construction of the Niagara Falls Exchange - a new market, cultural hub, and event space strategically located in the Main and Ferry neighbourhood. The project broke ground in 2021 with the vision to be the epicentre of Niagara Falls’ Arts & Culture scene. The Exchange is a 10,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor multipurpose event space created to foster and incubate the city's Food, Music, Art, and Culture communities. The Exchange is the new home of the Niagara Falls Famers' Market, artist & woodworking studios, an art gallery, an on-site café, and more.
