Niagara Falls, ON, October 12, 2016 - Mayor Diodati, along with Chief Administrative Officer, Ken Todd and Director of Business Development, Serge Felicetti continue to explore business development initiatives and potential opportunities to enhance our City.
Having left on Thanksgiving day, the 3 person team is currently visiting Romania and attending meetings in Bucharest this week. At the last City Council Meeting, Acting Mayor Vince Kerrio was appointed by City Council to oversee the Office of the Mayor during their 3-day visit. This potential development opportunity is currently in the due diligence period and the proponents have requested confidentiality until this phase has been completed. This is the first business development trip for Mayor Diodati this year. The team from Niagara Falls is traveling as guests of the proponents and there are no taxpayer dollars involved in the visit.
The continued efforts being made by City Staff and Mayor Diodati speak to their commitment to City Council’s Strategic Priorities 2015-2018 to support and enhance economic growth and prosperity, and a vibrant and well planned City.
