City of Niagara Falls Administrative Facilities

The following City of Niagara Falls administrative facilities are open to the public:

  • City Hall (4310 Queen Street)
  • MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road)
  • Gale Centre (5152 Thorold Stone Road)

Niagara Falls Transit

All conventional City and WEGO service,  as well as Chair a Van will be in service today. Riders may experience delays and should be careful around and at bus stops.

Attention School Students and Parents

Please use extra caution when walking to school on Friday morning. School Crossing Guards may be delayed or unable to attend their locations due to road and weather conditions.  In addition, snowbanks, crosswalks, and sidewalks may not be fully cleared, along routes to school.   For current information on school crossing locations, please contact the City’s School Crossing Coordinator at 905-356-7521 extension 5212

Snow Clearing Update

City of Niagara Falls crews completed a full scale city wide plowing operation yesterday after which residential plowing was scaled back to allow crews to receive proper rest periods.  At 2:00 a.m. this morning Crews  began a second full scale operation and will proceed until this evening before completion.  Arterial and collector roads were continual maintained overnight and will continue throughout the day today. 

Sidewalk plowing routes re-started at 4:00 am this morning. With all routes being covered. Loader Operators will be dispatched to clear crescent, cul de sac, dead end at 6:00 a.m. to allow the plows time clear the majority of the roadways.

Staff will assess residential roads after the second plowing operation. Based upon conditions further operations will be planned and an update sent.

 Residents are again reminded to exercise caution when driving or walking as they may encounter less than ideal road and sidewalk conditions.
