NIAGARA FALLS, ON - Sleep Cheap Charities Reap, a long standing community tradition, has raised over $2.2 million for over 100 different local charities since its inception in 2004.
Sleep Cheap 2021 will run from Sunday, November 14th up to and including Friday, November 19th. Reservations for the event can be made starting this Friday, October 15th at 9:00 a.m. Participating hotels and booking information can be found online at www.sleepcheapcharitiesreap.com for Niagara Region residents only.
Sleep Cheap is excited to announce that waterpark access is back! Rooms with access to a waterpark will be available for Sleep Cheap 2021 at the Americana Conference Resort Spa & Waterpark, and at the Sheraton Fallsview and Skyline Hotels.
Many of Niagara Falls’ finest hotels will offer rooms, at a discounted rate, to Niagara Region residents only during the event. Minimum donations for rooms have increased by $10 per room this year to recognize additional cleaning costs due to the pandemic as follows: $45 per night for a standard room, $55 for a Fallsview room, $75 for a whirlpool room, and $95 for a waterpark room. Participants will also be able to book 2 nights stays again this year.
Charitable Donation Application Process now open
The Sleep Cheap Charities Reap Committee is seeking applications from local charities and registered not-for-profits serving residents of the City of Niagara Falls that are interested in receiving a donation from funds generated by the annual, “Sleep Cheap Charities Reap”, initiative. Charities should be aware that we receive far more requests than we are able to support at one time, and that a decision not to support does not necessarily reflect on the merit of the request. This is will be especially true for the 2021 event, with decreased funds to distribute due to the pandemic.
Application forms are available at www.sleepcheapcharitiesreap.com. Please note that the application deadline is Friday, November 26, 2021.
The 2021 recipients of the charitable donations, as selected by the Sleep Cheap Charities Reap Committee through the application process, will be announced in December. 100% of the funds raised through Sleep Cheap benefits local charities.
About Sleep Cheap Charities Reap
In 2004, then Councillor Jim Diodati initiated an event to celebrate the City’s 100th Anniversary and promote goodwill between the tourist industry and the residents of the City of Niagara Falls. Sleep Cheap Charities Reap took the concept a step further in 2005, supporting some of Niagara’s most deserving charities. The event provides an opportunity for Niagara Falls residents to experience some of the City’s most prestigious hotel properties and attractions for a fraction of the cost, and the proceeds are donated to a fund benefitting local charities.
