NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls will offer Red Cross Swim Kids and private swim lessons at three pools this summer: Prince Charles, NF Lions Club and EE Mitchelson. Daily lessons begin July 19. Limited class sizes and other modifications are in place to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Registration is open, required, and available only online.
For children up to 12 years of age, including infants as young as four months, Red Cross Swim Kids and Swim Preschool programs offer age-appropriate learning with a focus on safety, comfort, and skills to help parents and children develop a healthy lifestyle through swimming. For all levels in Red Cross Swim Preschool and Red Cross Swim Kids levels 1 through 4, a parent or caregiver at least 16 years of age with competent swimming ability must be in the water with the child during the lesson. Adult accompaniment is not required for upper levels 5 through 10.
All lessons will be held daily, Monday through Friday. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and each level will take one week to complete. The fee for Red Cross Swim Kids and Preschool programs is $26 per child, per week.
For adults and children looking for a one-on-one, personalized instruction, private lessons with experienced instructors are also available. Sessions last one week and are available for $45.
