Warming Stations

The following public facilities are available as warming stations during regular operating hours (subject to change):

  • MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road)
    • Monday - Friday  5:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
    • Saturdays              7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
    • Sundays                 7 a.m.– 6 p.m.
    • Gale Centre (5152 Thorold Stone Road)
      • Monday - Sunday 6:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
    • Niagara Falls City Hall (4310 Queen Street)
      • Monday - Friday  8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
    • Coronation 50+ Recreation Centre (5925 Summer Street)
      • Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
    • Niagara Falls Public Libraries (all branches)
      • Niagara Falls Public Library (4848 Victoria Avenue)
      • Community Centre Library (7150 Montrose Road)
      • Stamford Centre Library (3643 Portage Road)
      • Chippawa Library (3763 Main Street, Chippawa)

    Overnight Shelters

    A Cold Weather Emergency shelter is operated by the Out of the Cold program from November 1 to March 31. For the latest updates and changes to shelter locations, please call 2-1-1.

    • St. Andrew's United Church (5645 Morrison Street)
      • Monday - Sunday 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
      • Open to men and women.

    The Soup Kitchen

    Niagara Falls Community Outreach operates the Soup Kitchen at 4685 St. Lawrence Avenue. For the latest updates please call 2-1-1.

    • Lunch
      • Monday - Friday, 12 noon - 1 p.m.
    • Supper
      • Monday - Sunday, 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.

    Stay warm and healthy
    Residents are encouraged to check in on family, friends and neighbours, especially those who may be vulnerable to cold-weather related illnesses.
