Fire Fighters

Transit Services

Niagara Falls Transit bus Transit Services has supplied transportation services for the City since 1960. They supply the City with various bus routes and accessibility transportation services to business areas, recreational facilities, educational institutes and medical facilities around Niagara Falls. Seasonal Labourer Employment

Person cutting the grass The most common types of employment in this category are labourers working in the summer months at the Municipal Service Centre in a variety of sections, or in the Recreation and Culture Department. The minimum qualification required to be a labourer, is a valid Ontario DZ Drivers License and a current drivers abstract. Testing may be required. Part Time Clerical Employment

The minimum qualifications required to be in our clerical group is fifty (50) words per minute, word processing and spreadsheet skills. In addition, successful completion of job related testing is also required. Summer Student Employment

LifeguardThe City has a variety of opportunities for summer students including grass cutting, maintenance, lifeguarding and other job specific assignments/projects.  To be eligible, students must be returning to school on a full-time basis in September.  Summer student positions will be advertised on the City’s Employment Opportunities page between January and April.

Please note, interested applicants wishing to apply to the City of Niagara Falls must submit a resume during an active recruitment drive.  Proof of return to school will be required.  When applying to the aquatics positions, please also include copies of appropriate certifications (e.g., NLS, Red Cross, First Aid with CPR-C, etc.).

School Crossing Guards

School crossing sign During the school year we use Crossing Guards at various locations within the City. Interested applicants will be required to complete an employment application, which can be picked up in our Human Resources Department at City Hall during 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between Monday through Friday.
