The City of Niagara Falls has begun its annual fire hydrant flushing program. This is performed as part of a scheduled preventative maintenance program to help maintain good water quality and to improve water flow in your neighbourhood. The flushing is currently taking place within the areas roughly bordered by Stanley Avenue, McLeod Road, Montrose Road and Lyons Creek Road. If you reside in this area, you may notice a temporary decrease in your water pressure, and may experience discoloured water. If discolouration occurs, running a cold water tap closest to your water meter for a short period of time should alleviate the problem. Should you have any questions, concerns or persistent issues, please contact the Municipal Service Centre at 905-356-1355. The City's Annual Water Report can be viewed online at www.niagarafalls.ca or in person at the Municipal Service Centre at 3200 Stanley Avenue, when open to the public.
