Take part in our Environmental Initiatives this Spring!

Spring has arrived, and it's the perfect time to refresh, reset, and declutter. This season is a time to give back to the earth—whether planting trees to help our environment thrive or rolling up your sleeves for a community clean-up.

Curbside Giveaway

Community Curbside Giveaway

Citywide: SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2025

On Saturday, April 12, from 7 am to 5 pm, join us for a city-wide Curbside Giveaway event where gently used items find new homes directly from your curb. It’s a great way to declutter, recycle, and support our community’s commitment to sustainability.

Here’s how you can participate and make a difference:

  • You can place gently used items in good condition on your property (next to the sidewalk or curb) for others to take.
  • Put signs in the items with the word "FREE." You can download one here: niagarafalls.ca/curbsidesign.
  • Take photos and share descriptions of your items on the event page.
  • Keep sidewalks and fire hydrants clean and always obey traffic laws. Don't block traffic or park illegally when picking up items.

For more information on what items can be placed on the curb and full event details, visit niagarafalls.ca/curbside.
