New Adult Fitness Programs at the MacBain Community Centre

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - This Spring, join the City of Niagara Falls at the MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road) for a variety of registered and drop-in Adult Fitness Programs starting the week of June 2, 2024. Adult programs provide an opportunity to explore new interests in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Programs are led by specialized instructors and intended for all skill levels.

Registered Adult (18+) Programs available this session include:

  • MenoFit: Get fit with like-minded people with a fitness program designed for the needs of perimenopausal and menopausal women. This class will incorporate strength, balance, and cardio.
    • Wednesdays 7:30 to 8:30 pm
       
  • TRX (New Times Added): TRX is a revolutionary workout incorporating a special set of straps hanging from the wall. Participants will use their body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core, and joint stability.
    • Mondays 8:15 to 9 am 
    • Wednesdays 7:15 to 8 am and 6:15 to 7:15 pm

Drop-in Adult (18+) Programs available this session include:

  • "3,2,1": A combination of strength/resistance, core, and cardio in various ratios to keep it fresh.
    • Tuesdays 8 to 8:45 pm
       
  • Cardio Sculpt: Exercises focus on adding definition to your physique with higher reps and lower weight. These workouts will help improve your circulation, metabolism, and caloric burn, further enhancing the shape and definition of your muscles.
    • Tuesdays 12:15 to 1 pm 
       
  • Circuit Breaker:  An ever-changing circuit workout incorporating weights and assorted equipment for a full-body strength program.
    • Tuesdays 7 to 7:45 pm
    • Wednesdays 7:15 to 8 am
    • Fridays 7:15 to 8 am
       
  • Hatha Yoga: With this type of yoga, participants move their body slowly and deliberately into different poses that challenge their strength and flexibility while at the same time focusing on relaxation and mindfulness.
    • Tuesdays 5:15 to 6:15 pm
       
  • Having a Ball: A stability ball-based class incorporating weights and a variety of equipment to be a full-body workout.
    • Wednesdays 8:10 to 8:55 am
       
  • Strength and Stretch: Improve strength and balance with weights, bands, and body weight exercises. Then enjoy a long stretch and relax.
    • Thursdays 6:30 to 7:30 pm and 7:45 to 8:45 pm
       
  • Zumba: With the high-octane dance, participants will see some serious moves as they make their way through routines, all choreographed to upbeat and fast music.
    • Mondays 6:30 to 7:30 pm
