6320 Pine Grove is significant for its association with original owner, Earl A. Thomas, prominent person in the wine industry both locally and nationally. Born in 1894 in Stamford and began working at T.G.Bright's Wines in 1916. He rose to become President of the Company and remained so until his retirement in 1959. The Thomas's owned the property for 37 years, followed by Charles and Ruth Dunnett for the next 27 years. The architects, Findlay and Foulis built many significant buildings in the City: Table Rock House, Niagara Parks Buildings - Refrectory Restaurant, Administration building; General Brock Hotel and Oak Hall.

Architectural Notes

Earl Thomas House exhibits many Tudor style characterisitics: steeply pitched roof, multiple prominent gables, half timbering, a large dominent chimney, small multi-pane sash.
