What we do
The Transportation Services Department is compromised of 2 divisions; Transportation Engineering, and Parking Services. These divisions are responsible for all matters pertaining to traffic flow, parking lot maintenance, road safety, and parking control. These services include:
- The operation of traffic control devices
- Pavement markings
- Signing
- Road safety
- Traffic calming and traffic signals
- Maintaining municipal parking lots
- Issuing parking permits
- Parking meter maintenance
- Monthly leased lots
- Assigning private lot owners & commercial lot owners with by-law requirements
- School crossing guards
- Special events
- Parking control
- Processing parking violations
