Drummond Road (Phase I) Watermain Replacement and Road Reconstruction from Thorold Stone Road to Cherrywood Road

Decommissioning of the existing 400mm CPP watermain and the existing 200mm CI watermain and installation of a new 300mm PVC watermain. Repair of damaged sanitary sewer and installation of new storm sewer and catchbasins where needed. Full road reconstruction with new bike lanes, curb and gutter and sidewalk improvements. Street lights will be upgraded to City standard. Private utility relocations will occur starting Fall 2020 to facilitate 2021 construction.
This project has been approved for funding through the Investing In Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) - Rural and Northern Funding Stream. The City has been approved for approximately $2,500,000 from the federal government and $1,666,500 from the provincial government. The funding will support all 3 phases of this project including: Phase II - Drummond Road from Cherrywood Road to and including the Morrison Street intersection; and Phase III - Gallinger Street and Portage Road from Elizabeth Street to Althea Street.
