As of 7:45 a.m., approximately 75% of the City's roads have been sanded. Please be advised that we are using "hot sand," a mixture of sand and salt, to provide traction and help break up ice formations caused by Saturday's rainfall. This is in preparation for the deep freeze expected later today.
Our sanding operations are scheduled to be completed this morning. Crews will continue to address specific areas of concern identified through regular road patrols and reports from our drivers.

Municipal crews continue to respond to the Winter weather affecting our area causing slippery road conditions.
Crews continue to actively maintain arterial and collector roads. Commencing at 2:00 a.m. crews will begin conducting a full-scale city-wide sanding operation.
Selected sidewalks routes will be addressed as part of this operation.
Staff will reassess operations in the morning to see if additional actions are required. Should additional actions be required a further update will be sent.
Residents who intend on traveling should check the weather and leave additional time for travel.
Residents are also reminded to adjust their driving habits as they may encounter less than ideal road conditions.
