Hydrant Flushing Program: October & November 2020
The City of Niagara Falls will be continuing their fire hydrant flushing program throughout October and November. This is performed as part of a scheduled preventative maintenance program to help maintain good water quality and to improve water flow in your neighbourhood. The flushing is currently taking place in the areas bordered by Montrose Road, Lundy's Lane/Ferry Street, the Niagara River and McLeod Road (see map for further detail). If you reside in this area, you may notice a temporary decrease in your water pressure, and may experience discoloured water. If discolouration occurs, running a cold water tap closest to your water meter for a short period of time should alleviate the problem. Should you have any questions, concerns or persistent issues, please contact the Municipal Service Centre at 905-356-1355. The City’s Annual Water Report can be viewed online at www.niagarafalls.ca or in person at the Municipal Service Centre at 3200 Stanley Avenue.
