Registration for Spring Adult Fitness & Wellness Interim Sessions opens Wednesday, May 14th

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - This Spring, join the City of Niagara Falls at the MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road) for a variety of registered and drop-in Adult Fitness & Wellness Programs starting the week of May 25, 2025. Adult programs provide an opportunity to explore new interests in a welcoming and inclusive environment. They are led by specialized instructors and intended for all skill levels.

Residents aged 18 and over can register for the Spring Interim Sessions online starting Wednesday, May 14th, at 6:00 p.m. In-person Niagara Falls resident registration opens on Thursday, May 15, at 9:00 am. Non-resident registration begins on Friday, May 16. 

Registered Adult (18+) Programs available this session include:

  • Hatha Yoga: In this type of yoga, participants move their bodies slowly and deliberately into poses that challenge their strength and flexibility while focusing on relaxation and mindfulness.
    Sundays at 9:00 am, Tuesdays at 5:15 pm, & Thursdays at 7:30 pm
     
  • NEW - Introduction to Hypnosis for Healing: In this course, participants enhance their ability to control contrasting experiences, learning to manage their emotional states instantly rather than reacting. They will also learn to release and heal in a safe environment. Tuesdays at 7:15 pm
     
  • NEW - Racquetball Lessons: Discover the basics of Racquetball learning skills, drills, and games from community Racquetball coaches Todd Bright and Tammy Gray. The small group settings will ensure everyone gets plenty of playtime and coaching! All equipment provided. Thursdays at 6:00 pm & Mondays at 8:00 pm 
  • Shape & Tone: Exercises focus on adding definition to your physique with higher reps and lower weight. These workouts will help improve your circulation, metabolism, and caloric burn, further enhancing the shape and definition of your muscles.
    Thursdays at 6:30 pm
     
  • Sticks & Straps: Strength training focuses on improving posture, mobility, and strength, while TRX uses suspended straps to provide a full workout utilizing body weight and gravity for resistance.
    Mondays at 6:15 pm
     
  • Strength & Stretch: Improve strength and balance with weights, bands, and body weight exercises. Then enjoy a long stretch and relax. Thursdays at 7:45 pm 
     
  • TRX (Total Resistance Exercise): TRX is a revolutionary workout that incorporates a special set of straps that hang from the wall. Use your body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability.
    Mondays at 8:15 am & 5:00 pm, Wednesdays at 7:15 am, 5:00 pm & 6:15 pm

Drop-in Programs include Shape & Tone, Tuesdays at 12:15 pm & Wednesdays at 11:15 am and 12:15 pm, and Zumba on Mondays at 6:30 pm. Registration is not required for drop-in programs.
