NIAGARA FALLS, ON - As June's Seniors Month approaches, the City of Niagara Falls is gearing up to honour and celebrate the vibrant community of older adults with a series of engaging free events and activities. Organized by the Seniors Advisory Committee (SAC), this month-long celebration aims to enrich the lives of seniors while fostering community connections and promoting active lifestyles.
Throughout June, seniors are invited to participate in a diverse range of free events, classes, and activities across the city. From an educational speaker series to fitness classes, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Key highlights of Seniors Month include:
- Free Speaker Series: Engage in thought-provoking discussions and gain valuable insights at our free speaker events at the Victoria Avenue Library and MacBain Community Centre.
- Fitness and wellness classes: Stay active and energized with complimentary Zumba classes at Oakes Park and Tai Chi and Line Dancing sessions at St Antoine's Hall.
- Cultural and recreational offerings: Immerse yourself in the history of Niagara Falls with Free Museum Fridays at the Niagara Falls History Museum. Additionally, enjoy free Older Adult Skates at the Gale Centre and take advantage of 50% off admission at all Niagara Parks attractions.
