Registration for City of Niagara Falls Summer Camp Pilot opens May 14, 2024

NIAGARA FALLS, ON—The City of Niagara Falls is excited to offer a variety of summer camp options for children and youth ages 4 to 15 through a summer camp pilot program for 2024. The season begins on July 8, with summer camps running for one-week sessions until August 23 at various recreation facilities in Niagara Falls. Registration is scheduled to open on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 6 pm to Niagara Falls residents and Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 6 pm to non-residents.

2024 Summer Camp Programs
City of Niagara Falls summer camps are the perfect choice for your child’s next adventure. Camps are sorted by area of interest to make the search easier for parents and kids. Summer camp offerings include: 

Aquatics Camp

  • Ages: 8 to 12
  • Running: July 15 to July 19 and July 29 to August 2, 2024
  • Time: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Cost: $250 a week (per child)
  • Location: MacBain Community Centre
  • Description: Campers can try out various water sports in a fair and safe aquatics environment. Activities include water polo, synchronized swimming, lifeguard skills, and more. The program emphasizes fitness, skill development, fair play, and cooperation.

Carousel Players Camp 

  • Ages: 5 to 8
  • Running: July 8 to July 12, 2024
  • Time: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Cost: $285 a week (per child)
  • Location: Niagara Falls History Museum
  • Description: Explore your creative side with Carousel Theatre Arts Camp! Campers will be immersed in drama games, activities, and exercises each day as they work on a performance to share with family and friends on the final day of camp. Campers will also use arts and crafts to make their own costumes and set pieces, which they get to take home at the end of the week! Join us for this week of drama fun!

Evolve Scooter and Skateboard Camp 

  • Ages: 6 to15
  • Running: July 22 to 26 and August 19 to 23, 2024
  • Time: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Cost: $375 a week (per child)
    Location: MacBain Community Centre
  • Description: Provided by Evolve Camps, this camp focuses on improving campers’ fundamental physical skills, like balance and coordination, while finding their style on their skateboards and scooters. The staff of instructors are seasoned skateboard and scooter riders with experience teaching in a safe, fun way. Campers are given time to master tricks and challenge themselves to learn and develop. Coaches are on hand every step of the way to help correct flaws and accelerate learning. Campers also participate in traditional camp programming and other sports daily, giving them a well-rounded summer experience. Campers are required to bring their own scooter or skateboard, an approved CSA helmet, elbow pads, wrist guards, and knee pads. Campers will be divided by age and skill. Kinder Camp 

  • Ages: 4 to 6
  • Running: July 8 to July 12, July 22 to 26, and August 19 to 23, 2024
  • Time: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Cost: $225 a week (per child)
  • Location: MacBain Community Centre
  • Description: Hang out with us this summer as we engage in various kinder-aged activities. We'll play various games, make daily crafts, cool off in the splash pad, and learn something new! Join us for Fun with Science, where kids can explore an experiment each day; Olympic week, where we'll try all sorts of sports and active games; and Animal Kingdom, where we'll explore all sorts of creatures!

Time Machine Camp

  • Ages: 5 to 8
  • Running: August 12 to 16, 2024
  • Time: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Cost: $225 a week (per child)
  • Location: Niagara Falls History Museum
  • Description: Hop in our time machine to explore the past with the Niagara Falls History Museum! Visit Pangea and the dinosaurs that roamed the earth before the continents began to shift. Fast forward to a selection of the diverse cultures of humanity – ancient Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome – to name a few. Travel to the present to learn more about the Indigenous Nations of our land and the purpose of Museums in our society. Crafts, experiments, outdoor play, and behind-the-scenes Museum tours will fill campers with excitement for history. 

How to Register
Registration opens on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 6 pm to Niagara Falls residents and Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 6 pm to non-residents on the City's online recreation registration system. For details, visit niagarafalls.ca

Before and After Care
Need to drop your child off earlier or pick them up later? The City will offer extended AM and PM care:

  • Before care will be offered from 8 am to 9 am for an additional $20/week/per child.
  • After care will be offered from 4 pm to 5 pm for an additional $20/week/per child.

Parents can sign up for one or both care options at the time of camp registration.
