The City will be guided through the current council term by the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan.

The plan defines Council's direction and focuses on three pillars: sustainability (financial, social, and environmental), customer service, and economic diversification and growth.
As we move forward, new initiatives will align with these priorities, and we will integrate the plan into the budget process, department business plans, and goals.
December 20, 2019 - Organization Review: Audit and Accountability Fund
In Spring 2019 the Provincial government established the Audit and Accountability Fund to empower municipalities in a search for efficiencies. The City participated in this provincial initiative by engaging the services of KMPG LLP to conduct an organizational review. This Review provides an opportunity to support Council’s Strategic Priorities through an in-depth look at operating effectiveness and efficiencies from a Smart City perspective.
