Older Adult Memberships and Services

Ready to enjoy great programs, stay active, and connect with others? A senior membership for older adults 60+ at the MacBain Community Centre is your ticket to fun, fitness, and friendship!

Join anytime!

If you are 60 or over, our programs are designed just for you!  We offer friendly, welcoming spaces filled with activities, events, and opportunities to connect.

If one spouse is 60 years or over, the other spouse is welcome to join even if they are under 60. However, both spouses must join together.

Membership benefits

As a member, you can:

  • Join various social, fitness, fun programs, special events, or volunteer—it’s all part of the experience
  • Enjoy discounted rates for drop-in programs
  • Get reduced rates for registered programs
  • Save on aquatic lessons and programs

How to get a membership

All new memberships and renewals must be done in person. We are here to help!

  • Visit us at the MacBain Community Centre, 7150 Montrose Road
  • Head to the customer service desk to complete a quick application and pay your fee

Membership fees

Memberships are available for 6 or 12 months. Fees are due in full every 6 or 12 months from the date you join. 

  • Fees: Check the Schedule of Fees for the most current pricing
  • Program passes: You can buy a pre-paid pass for 10 classes and programs. Bring your pass to the volunteer counter, and a volunteer will punch your card. Program passes are for drop-in classes only.
  • Payment methods: We accept Visa, Mastercard, debit, cash or cheque

Refund policy

  • No program refunds are given starting one week before a program begins
  • You must provide a medical note to request a program refund. An administration fee applies
  • Other program refunds are up to the Manager’s discretion
  • All program refunds are added as a credit to your member account

Gift certificates

Looking for gift ideas? You can buy gift certificates for memberships or class registrations. Pick any amount you like. It's a great way to treat a friend or loved one!
