Calls To Artists

Calls to Artists are public invitations from the City of Niagara Falls for artists to submit their work or ideas for public art projects, exhibitions, or events. These calls allow artists to showcase their talents, contribute to the community's cultural landscape, and sometimes receive compensation or awards.

Check out the current opportunities and don’t forget to add yourself to our artist database!

Artist database

We want to connect with artists and creatives who wish to participate in art projects around Niagara Falls.

Your submission will help our Advisory Panel select participants for future projects such as murals, street art, utility box wraps, signs, and more.

What to expect:

This form takes about 30 minutes to fill out. We’ll ask about:

  • Your art experience, interests, and future plans
  • Details about past projects (like project dimensions, locations, mediums and dates)
  • Your role in any events you helped with (if not as the artist)
  • Up to 6 images of your work, two per project, three projects max (JPG, under 1MB/1000KB each, labelled with your last name and title)

You can review and edit your answers as you go. If you need more time, enter your email to save your progress and finish later.

Please add yourself to the artist database!

Musician, spoken word, and comedian database

Niagara Falls is seeking interested individual musicians, duos, trios or groups of any size for inclusion in our local database. Spoken-word artists and comedians are also welcome.

Criteria

To support our city's talent, we ask that you have lived for a few years, or are currently living in Niagara Falls (or NF bandmates will qualify as well). We know bandmates come and go, but we request that at least 30% of the band members be from or currently live in Niagara Falls.

Join our local database

In creating the Trail Mix and other projects, we aim to showcase the best of Niagara Falls talent. With this in mind, we are looking at diversity, accessibility and connections to Niagara Falls. Being in the database does not guarantee a gig, but it helps us connect with you. We are doing our best to support all our local talent!

We use a matrix which includes:

  • BIPOC
  • NF connections
  • Genre
  • Accessibility

Learn more about the Trail Mix, and join our local database to apply.
