- Flex Fit: Stretch, relax, and feel better. This class helps improve your posture, flexibility, and range of motion.
- Gentle Fit: Perfect for beginners! Build strength, improve balance, and endurance through muscle toning, light weights, and exercise that help with flexibility, especially in the shoulder and neck area. We finish the class with light stretching and gentle breathing.
- Get Fit All: A moderate intensity workout designed to shed fat while building strength and endurance. Includes cardio, body weight exercise, core training and stretching. All fitness levels are welcome.
- Get Fit with Step: Step your way to better fitness! This high-energy class burns more calories while working your hips, thighs, abs and buttocks.
- Men’s Only Fitness: A fun mix of cardio and strength training for men. Great for building balance and muscle. It’s a low impact workout.
- Pickleball: Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four use solid paddles to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net.

- Sit and Be Fit: Enjoy a gentle seated workout to help build strength and endurance. Perfect if you prefer a lower-intensity class.
- Stretch N’ Tone: Not into yoga? This class still gives you the benefits—like better flexibility and relaxation—with easy strength and stretching moves.
- Tai Chi: Move slowly with gentle, continuous stretches for the whole body. Tai Chi helps with strength, balance, circulation, and mental focus.
- Total Body Groove: Fun, easy routines that get your heart rate up. Great for all fitness levels.
- Zumba and Zumba Gold: This easy-to-follow dance-fitness class lets you move to the beat at your own speed. Zumba Gold is a low-impact version that is great for active older adults.
Older Adult 60+ Drop-in Programs
You can attend a variety of drop-in programs without signing up in advance. Join our fitness and recreation programs at the MacBain Community Centre or enjoy skating and hockey at the arenas.
How to join
- Get your Older Adult 60+ senior membership. Most activities require a membership unless a non-member rate is indicated.

- Check the program schedule to determine when your desired activity is available
- Pay at the MacBain Community Centre when you come. You can pay each time or buy a prepaid pass for 10 sessions.
