Civic Recognition Award

The City of Niagara Falls wants to celebrate individuals, teams, and groups who make our community proud! The Civic Recognition Program honours those who have achieved excellence in education, arts, culture, sports, recreation, or other special areas.

Who can be nominated?

To qualify for a Civic Recognition Award, nominees must:

1. Live in Niagara Falls at the time of their achievement
2. Have trained or studied with a Niagara Falls organization or team
3. Reach the top level in provincial or national competitions or awards
4. Compete in recognized events. Only competitions approved by a sport’s governing body qualify (tournaments do not count).
5. Earn unique recognition. For persons or teams. International award winners may also receive special honours.
