Arts and Culture Awards

Celebrating the creativity and talent in our city! The Niagara Falls Culture Committee recognizes outstanding artists and cultural contributors each year through two special awards.

Allister Young Arts and Culture Endowment Fund

The Niagara Falls Culture Committee invites local artists to apply for the Allister Young Arts and Culture Endowment Fund. In 1997, Allister Young donated a 1932 Ford Roadster to support the arts. The car was raffled off, and the proceeds created this fund to help artists grow their craft.

You are eligible to apply if you are a Niagara Falls resident, 16 years or older, have volunteer hours, and are actively creating in any artistic field. You do not need to be a student.

To apply, please submit the following:

  • A resume
  • A digital portfolio, video, or samples of your written or performance work
  • A written artist statement and a statement of intention
  • A letter showing your volunteer hours in the arts or in an arts organization

Award amount: Each year, one artist receives a $1,000 award.
Deadline: The annual deadline to apply is March 15.
