Cemetery tours
Guided tours: Every weekend in October, the Lundy’s Lane Historical Museum leads tours of Drummond Hill Cemetery. These guided experiences bring the history of the battle and the lives of Niagara’s early settlers to life.
For tour dates, tickets and more details, visit the Drummond Hill Cemetery Tours page.
Walking tour: Follow the Battle of Lundy’s Lane Walking Tour to experience the events of the War of 1812. Key stops along the 1.7 km route provide insight into the American advance and the British defence. Several parking lots are available if you prefer to drive part of the circuit.
National Day of Mourning

April 28 - National Day of Mourning
We hold a special ceremony each year to honour workers who have died, been hurt, or gotten sick because of a workplace tragedy. This day is also a time for all of us to renew our promise to make workplaces safer and prevent future injuries or deaths. We lower all flags to half-staff at City buildings to mark the day.
The Canadian Labour Congress started the National Day of Mourning in 1984 to remember and honour those who have died, been injured, or suffered illness in the workplace.
They chose April 28 to match the date the Ontario government passed its first Workers' Compensation Act in 1914. In 1991, the Day of Mourning, also known as Workers' Memorial Day, became an official national day through an Act of Parliament. It is officially recognized in about 100 countries worldwide.
