Please be advised that Baiocco Construction Corp. will be completing two (2) watermain connections at the intersection of Main Street Chippawa and Dock Street on Wednesday, April 24th from approximately 7am until 1pm and on Thursday, April 25th from approximately 8am until 2pm. On Wednesday, the watermain will be shut down on Dock Street from Welland St. to Main St. On Thursday, the watermain will be shut down on Main St. from Dock Street to Oliver Street.
Water service disruption notices have been delivered to properties affected by the shutdown. The duration of the watermain shutdown may vary and every effort will be made to minimize the restoration time.
Traffic will be maintained through the existing detour for the construction works on Main Street Chippawa. In accordance with the contract documents, the contractor, Baiocco Construction Corp. is required to notify the emergency services of their daily operations. Emergency access will be available.
The water may be slightly discolored and off tasting after the interruption. This will disappear shortly after resuming use of the water. Running your cold water tap only, will help resolve the problem.
