March Break in Niagara Falls: March 8-16

NIAGARA FALLS, ON- The City of Niagara Falls is hosting a variety of activities for this year’s March Break. From March 8 to 16, learn, play, and explore locally at the MacBain Community Centre, Gale Centre Arena, and the Niagara Falls History Museum. 

Saturday, March 8

International Women's Day Racquetball Learn & Play Clinic (March 8, 10 am & 11 am, MacBain Community Centre)
Celebrate International Women's Day with a free ‘Learn and Play’ clinic for women and girls. (Ages 8+, free, registration required)

Monday, March 10

Club Rex (March 10, 12:30 pm & 2 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
Learn how to identify dinosaur fossils with our fantastic collection of skulls, teeth, claws and more! If you love dinosaurs, you won’t want to miss it! (Ages 3 - 12, $5 per participant, registration required)

Tuesday, March 11

St. Patrick's Day Crafts (March 11, 1 pm - 2:30 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
Get in the St. Patrick's Day spirit with fun, themed crafts! We've got all the supplies so you just need your imagination! (Ages 3 - 12, $5 per participant, registration required)

Wednesday, March 12

Scoop McCoy Children's Magician (March 12, 10:30 am - 11:30 am, MacBain Community Centre)
Scoop McCoy will perform his hilarious, high-energy magic show. (Ages 3 - 12, $5 per participant, registration required)

Thursday, March 13

McMaster Engineering GO ENG Bath Bombs Workshop (March 13, 10 am - 11:30 am, MacBain Community Centre)
Students will aim to gain a deeper knowledge of compounds, acids and bases through this chemistry lab and the creation of bath bombs. (Students from Grades 6 - 8, $10 per participant, registration required)

McMaster Engineering GO ENG Soft Matter Physics Workshop (March 13, 12:30 pm - 2 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
Students will aim to gain a deeper knowledge of compounds, acids and bases through this chemistry lab and the creation of bath bombs. (Students from Grades 9 - 12, $10 per participant, registration required)

Friday, March 14

MYAC Basketball Tournament (March 14, 1 pm -  4:30 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
Think you got what it takes? Compete in MYAC’s 3v3 style basketball tournament! Don't miss out. Grab your friends and get ready to win amazing prizes! (Students from Grades 8 - 12, free, registration required)

CalmQuest Kids Teamwork and Kindness Workshop (March 14, 1 pm -  2:30 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
In this workshop, children learn to collaborate and show compassion toward one another. Through engaging in cooperative games and imaginative role-play activities, participants explore empathy, problem-solving, and effective communication. (Ages 7 - 12, $20 per participant, registration required)

CalmQuest Kids Building Emotional Resilience Workshop (March 14, 2:45 pm - 4:15 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
In this workshop, children gain tools to handle challenges healthily and confidently. They'll engage in storytelling and journaling exercises that nurture self-awareness, enabling them to productively identify and express their emotions. (Ages 7 - 12, $20 per participant, registration required)

Mad Science

Mad for Science (March 11 - 14, 11 am & 1 pm, Niagara Falls History Museum)
Unleash your inner scientist this March Break at the Niagara Falls History Museum with Mad Science! Enjoy exciting daily shows from March 11 to March 14, and get admission to the Museum, which features crafting activities, a scavenger hunt, and galleries to explore. Plus, catch a movie at 3 pm! (All Ages, Members: $5 / Non-members: $7 per person, registration required)

Public Skating

Gale Centre Arena Public Skating (March 9 & 16, 2 pm - 4 pm, March 12, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, Gale Centre Arena)
Grab your skates and some friends: Gale Centre Arena will offer public skating this March Break ($3 Children/Students/Seniors, $4 Adults, $10 Family Pass, registration not required)

Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena Public Skating (March 12, 12 pm - 1:30 pm, Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena)
Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena Public Skating will offer public skating on March 12. ($3 Children/Students/Seniors, $4 Adults, $10 Family Pass, registration not required)
