Family Day Weekend in Niagara Falls: February 14 - 17

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls is hosting a variety of activities for this year’s Family Day weekend and upcoming PD Day. Gather those nearest and dearest to you for some long weekend fun at the MacBain Community Centre, Gale Centre Arena, Niagara Falls History Museum and the Niagara Falls Exchange. 

Friday, February 14, 2025 (PD Day)

Knight at the Museum (Feb. 14, 11 am and 1 pm, Niagara Falls Exchange)
Join the Knights of Blackthorn Productions for an exploration of the Middle Ages! Touch and try on medieval armour, check out the weapons of the time and learn how they would be used. Ask your questions of these costumed characters and feel like you have been transported back in time. (All ages, $5 per participant, registration required). 

Public Skating (Feb. 14, 1 pm - 3 pm, Gale Centre Arena)
Lace up your skates and grab some friends and family - join us for an afternoon skate at the Gale Centre Arena. (All ages, $3 Children/Students/Seniors, $4 Adults, $10 Family Pass, registration not required).

Valentine's Day Crafts (Feb. 14, 2:30 pm to 4 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
Get crafty with us as we make some fun Valentine's Day-themed crafts! We've got all the supplies so you just need your imagination! (Ages 3-12, $5 per participant, registration required). 

Monday, February 17, 2025 (Family Day)

Tropical Crafts (Feb. 17, 10 am to 11:30 am, MacBain Community Centre)
Feeling the winter blues? We've got some tropical-themed crafts to help you imagine warmer weather! We've got all the supplies so you just need your imagination! (Ages 3-12, $5 per participant, registration required). 

Bubbleology Shows with Miss T the Bubble Queen (Feb. 17, 12:30 pm and 1:45 pm, MacBain Community Centre)
This interactive show leaves audiences engaged and amazed with the science & art of the beautiful bubble, a perfect mix of entertainment and education.  (Ages 3-12, $7 per participant, registration required). 

Earth Rangers (Feb. 17, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm + 3 pm, Niagara Falls Exchange)
Join the Earth Rangers for live animal shows at 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, & 3 pm in the Niagara Falls Exchange. This unique and up-close encounter with their animal ambassadors will leave you educated and inspired to help protect animals in the wild. (All ages, free, registration not required). 

Family Day at the Museum (Feb. 17, 10 am to 4 pm, Niagara Falls History Museum)
Sponsored by Ontario Power Generation, activities include free family portraits by Digital Attractions, scavenger hunts, crafts, and three galleries full of artifacts that explore our local history! (All ages, free, registration not required). 

Free Family Day Public Skating (Feb. 17, 11:30 am - 2:00 pm, Gale Centre Arena)
Lace up your skates and grab some friends and family - join us for a free afternoon Family Day Skate at the Gale Centre Arena.
