TD Tree Days event in Niagara Falls on Saturday, October 5

NIAGARA FALLS, ON— Join the City of Niagara Falls for the TD Tree Days tree-planting event on Saturday, October 5, at Mewburn Park. The event is made possible through a TD Friends of the Environment Foundation grant.

TD Tree Days provides residents with the opportunity to volunteer to help build a healthier community by planting trees and shrubs in urban and rural greenspaces. On October 5, 400 native trees and shrubs will be planted across Niagara Falls by volunteers. Residents can register online at tdtreedays.com to volunteer for the event.

On event day, dignitaries will start the festivities with greetings, followed by a tree-planting demonstration by members of the City’s Environmental Action Committee. Volunteers will then commence planting trees along the Laura Secord Commemorative Trail, located at Mewburn Park in Niagara Falls.
