About Line of Duty Death Memorial Ceremonies
The first Line of Duty Death dedication ceremony was held on December 15, 2004, and the unveiling of the new memorial took place on September 11, 2018. Since the first ceremony, 15 Niagara Falls Firefighters have been memorialized. Although a Line of Duty Death could mean that a firefighter lost their life while on duty, all 15 fallen firefighters have passed from work-related cancer.
